Hummingbird Leads the Lineup, Stealing the Spotlight at IDEF 2025

Among the highlights was HQ Innovation’s HUMMINGBIRD NANO UAV, which captured widespread attention for its ultra-small, ultra-light, ultra-quiet, and ultra-stealth design. Engineered for close-range reconnaissance and target acquisition in high-risk environments, the Hummingbird effectively replaces human presence in dangerous zones, significantly improving mission safety and success.

During the live demo, the drone’s unique "Dual-Drone Operation" feature—allowing a single operator to control two UAVs simultaneously for coverage of different directions—drew rounds of applause and demonstrated its high potential for real-world tactical applications.

Another major attraction at the booth was HQ Innovation’s self-developed flight simulator, providing visitors with a hands-on experience of the Hummingbird's agility and responsiveness. Many defense professionals noted that beyond its cutting-edge hardware, the drone’s integrated training system significantly lowers the operational learning curve, making it ideal for a variety of missions such as emergency response, counter-terrorism reconnaissance, and urban patrol.

Alongside the Hummingbird, both the HAWK AI DRONE and the OPTICAL FIBER AI DRONE emerged as major focal points. The HAWK features AI-powered vision navigation and swarm coordination capabilities, sparking wide-ranging discussion on how AI is reshaping tactical operations and unmanned collaboration. Meanwhile, the OPTICAL FIBER AI DRONE—unveiled globally for the first time—was praised for its outstanding anti-jamming performance and fiber deployment success rate exceeding 80%, making it highly applicable in electromagnetic-contested environments. Multiple international institutions expressed strong interest in exploring further cooperation.

Successful Demonstrations Build Trust and Expand Global Presence

During the exhibition, HQ Innovation was invited to deliver a dedicated live demonstration of the HUMMINGBIRD NANO UAV to representatives from the Turkish Ministry of Defense. The showcase highlighted the drone’s performance in close-in reconnaissance and dual-drone coordination, earning positive feedback and recognition from senior defense officials.
